Acceptable use policy

What Flung may not be used for, what happens when it is, and how to report misuse. It is part of the terms of service and applies to everyone who uses Flung: through the portal, an API key, the SDKs, the connect panel, an app or an AI agent.

TL;DR

QuestionAnswer
Who sets these rules?Buun Group Pty Ltd, ABN 75 687 193 675, Australia, which runs Flung.
What is the short version?Post only what you have the right to post, to accounts whose owners agreed, within every platform's rules. No spam, nothing illegal or harmful, and no attacks on the service.
Who is responsible for my users and agents? You are. What your users, apps and AI agents post through your workspace counts as yours.
What happens if the rules are broken? We may refuse a post, remove content, or suspend a key, an account or a workspace.
How do I report misuse?Write to legal@buungroup.com (opens in a new tab) with "Abuse" in the subject.

Posting

You may not use Flung to:

Do notDetail
SpamSend unsolicited bulk posts, replies or mentions, post the same or nearly the same content across many accounts to game reach, or flood hashtags, mentions or replies.
Break a platform's rulesEvery platform you post to has its own terms, developer policies and community rules, such as X's automation rules, Meta's Platform Terms, TikTok's and YouTube's community guidelines, and LinkedIn's and Pinterest's terms. Follow them. Where a platform forbids something, Flung does not allow it either.
Fake engagementRun automated likes, follows, reposts or comments, use many accounts to get past a platform's limits, or run coordinated fake accounts.
Post without permissionConnect or post to an account unless its owner, or someone allowed to act for it, connected it and agreed.
DeceiveImpersonate a person or a business, or hide that a post is an advertisement where the law or the platform requires saying so.

Content

You may not post, upload or send through Flung anything that:

  • is illegal where it is posted or where you are, or helps someone do something illegal
  • infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights
  • harasses, threatens, bullies or incites violence against a person or a group
  • is hateful toward people for who they are
  • sexually exploits or endangers children, which we report to the authorities
  • is sexual content a platform does not allow, or is shared without the consent of the people in it
  • sells or promotes regulated goods or services against the law or a platform's rules
  • carries malware, phishing or links meant to deceive people into harm

The service

You may not:

Do notDetail
Attack the serviceProbe, scan or test Flung for weaknesses outside the security page's rules, overload it, or interfere with other workspaces.
Get past a limitGet around a rate limit, a plan limit or a security check, such as by spreading work across workspaces or keys, or by automating a form that Cloudflare Turnstile protects. When the API answers 429, wait as Retry-After says.
Misuse credentialsUse an API key, a connect token, an app's grant or a platform account that is not yours or that you are not allowed to use, share a key outside your team, or put a key in a browser, a mobile app or a public repository.
Reach other dataTry to read data that is not your workspace's, or the data of people who did not connect to you.
Resell access as your ownResell Flung's API as a service of its own without an agreement with us. Building your product on Flung is welcome.

AI agents and automation

An AI agent or an app you approve acts for your workspace with the access you gave it, and these rules apply to everything it does. Check what an agent will post before you let it post without asking, and disconnect it in the portal when you no longer use it.

What we do when the rules are broken

StepDetail
Refuse or removeWe may refuse a post before it is sent, or remove content stored in Flung. What a platform already published stays under the platform's own control.
SuspendWe may suspend an API key, an app, a connected account or a whole workspace. Where we can, we say why first and give you a chance to fix it. Where there is a risk to others, a legal duty, or a platform requires it, we act at once.
CloseWe may close a workspace for a serious or repeated breach, as the terms of service say.
ReportWe may report illegal content to the authorities, and tell a platform about misuse of its accounts.

A platform may also suspend an account under its own rules. We cannot reverse that.

Reporting misuse

If you see Flung being used to break these rules, write to legal@buungroup.com (opens in a new tab) with "Abuse" in the subject. Say what you saw, where (a link to the post or the account), and when. We look at every report, and we may not be able to tell you what we did about it. To report a security problem instead, see the security page.

Changes to this policy

We change the date at the top whenever this policy changes. A change that reduces your rights is emailed to workspace owners at least 30 days before it applies, as the terms of service say.
