What it does
The raw file as the body, with its Content-Length. Flung reads its real type from the first bytes and refuses anything that is not an accepted image or video.
Example
bash
curl -X PUT 'https://api.flung.dev/v1/media/med_aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa/content' \ --header "Authorization: Bearer $FLUNG_API_KEY" \ --header 'Content-Type: application/octet-stream' \ --data-binary @launch.pngts
import { readFile } from 'node:fs/promises'
import { Flung } from '@flung.dev/sdk'
const flung = new Flung({ apiKey: process.env.FLUNG_API_KEY! })const file = new Blob([await readFile('launch.png')], { type: 'image/png' })const result = await flung.media.upload({ id: 'med_aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa', body: file,}, { headers: { 'content-length': String(file.size) } })js
import { readFile } from 'node:fs/promises'
const file = await readFile('launch.png')const response = await fetch('https://api.flung.dev/v1/media/med_aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa/content', { method: 'PUT', headers: { 'Authorization': `Bearer ${process.env.FLUNG_API_KEY}`, 'Content-Type': 'application/octet-stream', 'Content-Length': String(file.byteLength), }, body: file,})if (!response.ok) throw new Error((await response.json()).error.message)const result = await response.json()A successful answer looks like this:

filename | string | null | yes | |
bytes | integer | null | yes | |
status | "pending" | "processing" | "ready" | "failed" | yes | pending until its bytes arrive; ready once a post can use it. |
